What does it cost?
A flat fee for each return, quoted up front before any work begins. Pricing reflects how complex the return is, not the size of your refund.
- Simple return (W-2 based): $150 to $300
- Complex return (self-employed or business): $300 to $600
- Three or more back years together: 15% off year 3 onward (can't be combined with the 50% discount)
Payment plans are available. Servers, bartenders, gig workers, veterans and seniors 65+ may qualify for 50% off. Only one offer or discount applies per return.
What do I need to bring?
Less than you think. With your approval, we can pull your IRS records, the W-2s and 1099s the IRS already has, so you don't have to dig through old paperwork. Beyond that, bring a photo ID and any tax documents you have for the year, like W-2s, 1099s, and records of business income and expenses. Our tax document checklist builds a personal list for you.
Can I do everything online?
Yes. We meet by video or phone, and you can upload documents through our secure client portal. If you'd rather meet in person, we see clients at our St. Petersburg office by appointment. We work with clients all over Florida.
I haven't filed in years. Can you help?
Yes. It's one of the things we do most. We pull your IRS records, show you what's outstanding, and get you current one year at a time. See Haven't Filed in Years?
I got a letter from the IRS. What should I do?
Don't ignore it. We'll read it, explain it in plain English, and tell you what to do next. See our pages on CP2000, CP59 and CP3219A notices. For representation before the IRS, we'll refer you to a qualified representative.
Can I just ask a quick question first?
Yes. Book Free Tax Office Hours, a free 20-minute call. If you can file it yourself, we'll tell you.
Where can I read up on common tax questions?
Our Tax Answers pages cover filing past years, the tips deduction, Venmo and 1099-K, what to do if you can't pay, and IRS letters.
Do you promise a refund?
No one honestly can. What we promise is an accurate return and a clear explanation of what you paid in tax and why.
