What Your Staff Get
- 50% off their tax return if their adjusted gross income (AGI) is under $75,000, or under $140,000 married filing jointly. Any employee of a partner business qualifies, whatever their job.
- 25% off for everyone else on your team.
- Group price: 50% off for everyone. When 6 or more of your staff get their taxes done with us this season, all of them get the 50% prices, whatever their income: $75 for a W-2 return and $150 for W-2 income plus one simple side gig (Schedule C).
- A real preparer they can sit down with. We pull their IRS transcript so nothing gets missed, and we handle tips, side gigs and the new tips and senior deductions.
How we check
Nobody proves anything up front. We check AGI on the finished return (Form 1040, line 11) and take the right discount off. One discount per return; we always apply the one that saves them the most.
Our Prices
Before any discount, our usual price is $150 to $300 for a simple return (for example, W-2 income) and $300 to $600 for a complex one (for example, self-employed, rentals, investments). Every employee gets a flat quote before we start.
Want to Chip In? A Reimbursement Allowance
You can go further and pay back part or all of what your staff pay us. You pick the amount. After the discount, a W-2 return is $75 and a W-2 return with one simple side gig is $150, so a $75 allowance covers a W-2 return and $150 covers most returns with a side gig.
- Your employee pays us, then hands their own receipt to you or HR. You reimburse them through payroll.
- It works on top of the 50% or 25% discount.
- How it's taxed: the IRS doesn't treat it as a tax-free benefit, so it goes on your employee's W-2 like a bonus. But they get an incredible price: most will pay $75 to $150 after the discount. And you, the employer, get to deduct it as wages. Your payroll provider sets it up.
We Come to You: Before, During and After Tax Season
- Before (November to December): a free lunch talk on withholding, the new tips deduction and what to gather. Quick withholding check-ups while there's still time to change this year's taxes.
- During (late January to March): on-site appointment days where we prepare returns with your staff who chose in-person over virtual or mobile in-home. (Yes, all options are available at no added cost. We care about your local employees as much as you do.)
- After (May to June, and September for anyone on extension): help with IRS letters and setting up next year's withholding so there are no surprises.
On-site days are free for Tampa Bay businesses that book at least 8 appointments for the day. The lunch talk is always free.
Sign Up Your Business
Tell us about your business and when we can come by. We'll call you to set the date for our first on-site visit, where we meet your staff and get them scheduled. There's no cost and no contract to sign up.
We use what you send only to set up your visit. It goes to our email and isn't added to any mailing list.
Your Team's Privacy
Each employee is our client, not you. You never see anyone's return, income or refund, and we don't send you reports on who used the benefit. Federal law (Internal Revenue Code section 7216) protects your employees' tax information, and we follow it.
Your staff sign up privately, too. We give you a break-room poster with a QR code to our staff sign-up form, so no one has to put their name on a sheet. Sign-ups come only to us.
Good Fit For
- Restaurants and bars, where tips and side gigs make returns tricky
